Patient Story: Sarah Majumdar

  • October 28, 2025

This story is part of our new Patient Stories series, where we share real experiences from people in our community who have worked with Dr. Bob Curtis at Advanced Sports Chiropractic.

When Sarah Majumdar walked into Advanced Sports Chiropractic, she was dealing with a frozen shoulder that had affected nearly every part of her life. For months, she’d been trying to recover on her own, but the pain and stiffness weren’t improving the way she hoped.

As an active person and a busy mom, that limitation was hard to accept.

“As a mom, an active person, and a person who can usually do everything, it was really, really impairing every part of my life. So I wanted to try doing something else, to see if I could accelerate that.”

Early Progress and Relief

When Sarah started working with Dr. Bob Curtis, DC, CCSP, she noticed improvement faster than expected.

“I started noticing improvement right away. It was really amazing. All of a sudden, I started being able to regain more range of motion than I ever had.”

The results extended beyond her shoulder. Chronic pain that had followed her for years began to ease.

“I have chronic pain. And I noticed that pain going away. I didn't have problems waking up from sleep, being in pain anymore, from having been in the same position all night...So both the frozen shoulder and general other pains were really improved.”

This steady progress motivated Sarah to stay consistent with care, and the results continued to build week by week.

A Familiar Connection

Sarah’s introduction to Dr. Curtis came through a shared fitness community.

“The way that I heard about Bob, also called Doctor Curtis, is because I actually do CrossFit with him.”

That connection gave her a sense of trust and understanding from the start. Having a provider who was also an athlete helped her feel confident that her treatment plan was tailored to her lifestyle and goals.

Encouraging Others to Seek Care

As Sarah’s mobility improved, she began sharing her experience with family and friends who struggled with unresolved pain.

She’s found chiropractic care to be a valuable complement to other treatments, helping improve her quality of life.

“I feel like it really either complements physical therapy, or as a standalone treatment in some cases, it just improves quality of life. So much, all in itself. So it's been well worth it.”

A Supportive and Welcoming Environment

Beyond physical recovery, Sarah says the environment at Advanced Sports Chiropractic has played an important part in her experience.

“My overall experience here has been really great. I love how the whole environment seems really friendly and inclusive and professional, and the results have been phenomenal. So I can't recommend it more highly.”

Moving Forward

Today, Sarah’s shoulder mobility and overall comfort have improved significantly. Through consistent chiropractic care, she’s regained not only movement but confidence in her body’s ability to heal.

Her story is a reminder that progress often comes from patience, consistency, and the right partnership between patient and provider.

“It’s been well worth it.”
