Meet Dr. Rachel Hetherington
About Dr. Rachel Hetherington, DC
Dr. Rachel Hetherington, DC, earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Logan University in 2022. Based in Bellingham since 2023, Dr. Hetherington embraces the active Northwest lifestyle, enjoying activities such as weightlifting, hiking, and paddle boarding.
Staying Active is Key to My Well-Being.
I grew up in Richmond, Virginia. I joined a local triathlon team in middle school, and continued it throughout high school. While I had participated in other sports ranging from gymnastics to soccer, triathlon is what really sparked a lasting interest in health and fitness for me.
This lead to me pursuing an undergraduate degree in Exercise and Movement Science from the University of Vermont. I was first exposed to the benefits of chiropractic during an internship in undergrad, and I realized that I wanted to go into this profession which allowed me to promote healthier lifestyles.
I attended the College of Chiropractic at Logan University in St. Louis, and I earned my Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2022. I moved to Bellingham in 2023 following graduation.
I Love Bellingham.
Being able to do the activities that I love is very important to me. Since moving to Bellingham I have fallen in love with the Northwest, and how active this community is. I enjoy weightlifting, hiking, and paddle boarding. I am also getting back into running (and am looking for a running group to join). In addition to exercising, I love to read, explore local restaurants and breweries, see live music, and go on the occasional camping trip.
Everyone Deserves a Pain-Free, and Active Lifestyle.
As someone who has been active most of her life, I understand how frustrating it is to be unable to do activities due to pain. One type of treatment will not work for everyone, so I employ various techniques on a case by case basis to bring about the best results. I place emphasis on educating you, the patient, so you can better understand why you are having pain and so that you can advocate for proper care. I look forward to learning and growing with Advanced Sports Chiropractic and Massage, and helping people in the community enjoy good health by maintaining pain-free and active lives.
