Black Friday is usually about doorbusters, alarms before sunrise, and a race for the best deals. But it doesn’t have to be.
This year, Advanced Sports Chiropractic and Massage is closing our doors on Friday, November 28 — to give our team the chance to slow down, move their bodies, and spend the day outdoors.
We spend every day helping people feel better. Sometimes, the best way to do that is to model what we recommend: rest, movement, and meaningful connection. So instead of opening our doors, we’re opening up space—for fresh air, family time, and recovery.
If you’re ready to make Black Friday feel like an actual break, here are some simple, uplifting ways to enjoy the day outside.
1. Take a Post-Thanksgiving Sunrise Walk
Start the day with calm instead of crowds. A quiet morning stroll resets digestion and mood.
2. Plan a “No-Pressure” Outdoor Meetup
Touch football, soccer, frisbee, or basketball—no scoreboard, just movement and laughs.
3. Take Your Coffee Outside
Slow mornings are underrated. Bundle up, grab your favorite drink, and take a peaceful walk around the neighborhood.
4. Try a One-Hour Digital Detox
Leave your devices inside and step out. Even 60 minutes without alerts can lower stress and increase clarity.
5. Visit a Local Green Space You’ve Never Noticed
Community gardens, waterfronts, quiet viewpoints—most towns have hidden gems that go overlooked. Black Friday is the perfect day to rediscover where you live.
6. Host a Backyard or Park Stretch Session
Invite a few friends or family members. 10–15 minutes of mobility outdoors does wonders for stiff backs and hips.
7. Plan a Family Photo Walk
Skip the studio—capture candid moments outside. Great lighting, zero lines.
8. Have a Backyard Camp-Out or Firepit Evening
Bundle up, roast marshmallows, share stories, or stargaze. End the day grounded instead of exhausted.
Choosing Presence Over Purchases
We’re taking this day off because health isn’t only something that happens in our clinic; it happens in the choices we make outside of it.
By giving our team Friday off, we’re honoring the same principles we encourage for our patients: rest, movement, and time with the people who matter.
We’ll be back open on Monday, December 1, refreshed and ready to support your wellness.
However You Spend the Day, Make It Meaningful
Whether you take a long hike or simply sit on the porch with a warm drink, we hope this Black Friday brings you space to breathe, without a single line to stand in.
Here’s to a holiday weekend that restores more than it consumes.
