What inspired you to become a massage therapist?
After several years as a mentor and life coach to individuals with mental illness, I began focusing on my own wellness. Inspired by a lower back injury and wanting to expand my reach of healing, I studied Massage at Northwest Academy of the Healing Arts. Massage allows me to bring happiness and wholeness with each and every appointment.
How would you describe your massage style?
The best way to describe my massage is mindful communication. Through compression, I let your muscles know they are safe. Swedish strokes say they can relax. Myofascial Release says it’s time for change. Using trigger points, tendons, and muscle engagement allow your muscles to lengthen. Each client and set of goals requires a unique conversation.
What types of issues can you help with?
Do your goals include: increasing range of motion and mobility? Recovering from or preventing injuries, new or old? Decreasing stress, tension, and improving quality of life? I want to help you improve your life and overall wellness.
What are your other interests?
When I’m not working, you’ll find me in nature with my camera. I’ll probably be by a river or lake, as water heals the soul.
