I’ve been active in athletics ever since I could walk. Up until my sophomore year at Sehome High School, I never really had any injuries. Starting my Cross Country season I began to feel a very tight pain in my hamstring. I continued to run but each run would be more painful than the last. I started physical therapy and while that helped it still wasn’t solving my problem as quickly as I wanted it to. In fact I had gotten to the point where I could not sit in a chair for more than thirty minutes before the pain in my leg would become unbearable.
The Physical Therapist was great. She felt she could ultimately solve my problem but it would take time. She recommended I see Dr. Curtis. I was skeptical anything was going to help me get better before basketball season was to begin. I was so looking forward to basketball and was desperate for a solution.
My first visit with Dr. Curtis was nothing short of amazing! I walked into his office in pain and left without pain for the first time in five months. The pain did come back but I would return for regular visits. Each time I would visit he would make the pain disappear and I would be pain free longer after each visit. By the time basketball started I was ready! Thank you Dr. Curtis!
Later that year after having a very exciting softball season I was in a car that was rear ended. It caused severe neck pain. Many said it would be at least six months before I could be active again. That would have meant missing cross country and basketball my junior year. I would continue to get horrible headaches and neck spasms. Dr. Curtis was patient and worked with me to get back to a condition that would allow me to play. Through his sessions I was able to compete effectively in all three of my sports last year. It wasn’t easy but without him I’m convinced I would have missed my entire junior year of athletics.
I am now a senior. I have been able to compete in Cross Country, Basketball and Fastpitch for Sehome now for four years. There is no question in my mind that without Dr. Curtis I would not have been able to do all three sports let alone compete at a level 1 would have been satisfied with.
If you are active in athletics and want to be at your very best, I highly recommend Dr. Curtis!
