Whether through fear, societal stigmas, or general avoidance, men often avoid visiting their healthcare providers – going so far as to ignore painful symptoms. A Cleveland Clinic [survey](https://newsroom.clevelandclinic.org/2019/09/04/cleveland-clinic-survey-men-will-do-almost-anything-to-avoid-going-to-the-doctor/) published last year found that two-thirds of men avoid going to the doctor as long as possible. An additional 37 percent of men withhold information from their healthcare providers. Nearly half of those who withheld information from their healthcare providers did so out of embarrassment. If you look at average life expectancy, the impact of neglecting our health is obvious. #### The life expectancy for women in the U.S. is 81 years. For men, it’s 76 years. I care about the well-being of all of my chiropractic patients.
